The Dillinger

April 25th, 2012 by Erik Chudy

looks tasty!I’m not sure how many of my readers regularly go out to Boulder City, but Vegas seems to be one of those places that everyone wants to visit. Tourists typically want to see the Hoover Dam so I’ve definitely made my way in this direction many times in the years I’ve lived here. Besides, Boulder actually has a cool little scene going on and The Dillinger is a bar I wish was located downtown around some of my other favorite spots. Since they opened, the folks at The Dillinger have been tweeting me to come try their burger. It took me a few months to actually make my way there, but now that I have I can say it was definitely worth the wait. continue reading »

VBB’s State of the Burger Address

I love all things BachiSomeone close to me recently pointed out that I have too many reviews in the 70-80 point range and that they’re not dramatic enough. I don’t think this is a fault of my own, but more the status of where we’re at with many of the burgers in town; a lot of above average choices, but not many that stand out and push themselves above that threshold of being fantastic. understated plateMy ‘Burgers to-do’ list in my phone is constantly growing, and I tend to knock off the ones I’m more excited about as opposed to places that have been on the list for a long time. Such is the case with Skybox at Aria, it’s been on my list for well over a year but I’ve had no desire to make my way in there. Having to be on the strip yet again for a meeting around lunch time I took the opportunity to check off one more typically avoided strip location. Was it worth the wait? continue reading »

The Pub at Monte Carlo

April 20th, 2012 by Erik Chudy

why hello there bunIn a case of ‘I was in the building so I figured I’d try it out’, I had to be at the Monte Carlo this week for a meeting right around lunch time and thought I’d take that opportunity to try a new burger spot. While not a single person has recommended me to The Pub, I figured I’d try it out nonetheless as their menu listed several different options online and a friend said she had a great burger there. So have I stumbled across a hidden gem? continue reading »

Cheeburger Cheeburger

April 18th, 2012 by Erik Chudy

looks okThere have been many times when I knew right away that I was in love with a burger, but rarely have I disliked one instantly. That is until now of course, in the case of Cheeburger Cheeburger. I actually stated “I hate this bun” as soon as I swallowed my first bite, and it only went downhill from there. Read on if you dare. continue reading »
